A RETURN TO HUNGARY

Do you remember our first mission in Hungary ?
(see video and account << HERE >>)

pictTwo years after our first visit there in 2005, it was a joy for us to return to Hungary… We were invited to teach in an important School of Worship that covers the whole nation of Hungary, with more than 500 participants, about twenty of them were pastors and many of them are worship leaders. We were touched because we were reunited with our friends again, and met and made others. We discovered that the seeds we had planted there two years ago had multiplied to a point that challenged us! Since our first visit two years ago, several churches have started to have a dancing team in worship, with a healing dimension and a new depth in their worship. Pastors and leaders were longing for a continuation of it this year...

pictWe realised the great gift it was, being considered as the first pioneers to come and teach the reality of a « body, soul and spirit » worship and the meaning of prophetic dancing. Through this grace, we can see how, starting from just a few days of teaching, a nation and its Church can advance and grow in the restoration of a pure body before God to enter into His presence completely, without being divided.

We were impressed to learn that Rony Chaves, from South America, an apostle and friend who had invited us to Costa Rica not so long ago, had been in Hungary just before we arrived... His teaching really encouraged this nation and the Hungarians shared with us two words he prophesied: Hungary will be one of the models for the coming revival in Europe, and France will receive from her... (Hungary is also geographically called the heart of Europe; have a look at the globe and you will see that it is true). We can smile, saying that we have already received a new President from this country and we must pray for him. Mr Sarkozy is of Hungarian origin.

I must say that the days that followed convinced me of what we had brought to Hungary: the Lord touched me in worship and I can't explain it all, but my womb came closer to the loving God we have. During Worship times, passion was burning so much that God's presence in His house was amazingly dense. Day and night, the Holy Spirit was working in people’s lives.

pictHeld in a University, during a summer week were top quality musical training, artistic and spiritual workshops, worship services and profound teachings, a 24 hours Tabernacle of David with professional artists, teachers and recognised ministries. The Hungarians have an excellent artistic potential; they are serious and humble in their commitment. Their celebrations are tonic and gentle at the same time, passionate and, yes, we can say with a fighting spirit. Having come out of Communism only recently (1989), their standard of living is getting better but it is still half below ours. They are mainly descendants of Finno-Ougriennes and Turkish tribal warriors who got involved in wars, and Slavic tribes of Hungary. The gypsy minority have an important artistic influence.

pictBenjamin Goodman, an American prophet from North Carolina, taught on Isaiah 56:7 (these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.) The house « Tefila » that God is talking about in this verse means « a family » in Hebrew (and not a building) that touched Him and inspired spontaneous words, songs and dances... a prophetic worship is rising from it. How I love this verse!

During our last meeting, we, my husband Soda and I, brought about 500 people into a physical standing in worship.  A holy jubilation was reached and a very strong anointing. What joy, what an amazing release multiplied tenfold on faces and in spirits. We had shared a video presenting our church in movement in Praise and Worship (see www.abri-vcf.com/accueil.php, “présentation de l’abri-vcf”, below to the right). The vision we have in our local body (yes, this is also « corporal », speaking about our visible bodies includes understanding the invisible and the visible body of Christ) encouraged them a lot; a young leader told us “We wouldn't have believed it possible to apply this vision in our churches if we hadn't seen it with our own eyes.”

During these special days, we became aware of what we have to continue in the work which has began.

We also spoke about the place of Israel as an elder brother. Each country has to grow in this understanding and cleanse its past: the Jewish community reaches ten per cent in Hungary and its history tells of persecution and massive deportations in concentration camps. Raising up the Tent of Worship of David while forgetting Israel would be a major error because this people remains at the centre of God's promises.

Many thanks to Peter Lakatos and to all his co-workers who trusted us and invited us to live with them this coming of the Kingdom of God in Europe. Thanks also to the pupils who worked with us! May you all be encouraged!

« A house divided against itself cannot remain »

A sentence of Peter Lakatos, director of this event : « I had never realised that if we are not in unity in our own lives, our own « tabernacle », body, soul and spirit, it would be impossible to live in unity with our neighbour, and with God. It's something I desire to work out in my life. »
